Mike
McCarroll is a west Georgia-based country music singer, songwriter, &
independent recording artist. His music blends traditional country
with southern rock and blues to create his own unique outlaw style.
While Mike is a relative new comer to the country music scene, he has
been rapidly gaining friends and attention in Nashville as well as
from live audiences since the release of his debut CD “At The
Crossroads” in 2007.
Mike
spent the better part of his life working hard every day to raise a
family and become a successful independent business owner. Along the
way, he picked up a guitar, started writing songs,
and eventually when the kids left the nest and he was comfortable
enough financially, he headed to the studio with a band to fulfill a
lifetime dream.
A lifetime of ambitions, feelings and emotion
reached its fruition for Mike McCarroll when he completed his debut
indie release “At The Crossroads”. The title encapsulates the
life of a man who was literally at the crossroads of his life at
middle age. This is just the beginning, being middle aged or the
current life situation has nothing to do with where he is traveling
now. Your music can take you anywhere; the possibilities are wide
open in this new age of digital technology and distribution and Mike embraces that fully. Realizing the
opportunity now available to an independent is the first step to
success.
MM’s
live shows take audiences from traditional pedal steel and fiddle
drenched original country tunes to hard distorted guitar southern
blues rock and back again. When asked about his music, Mike states "I
see music like a roadway with branches and intersections. There are
intersecting points where one genre is almost indistinguishable from
another. For example, rock is often mixed with country to the degree
you have to wonder is it rock or is it country? As a songwriter, I
try to write in a variety of those intersections. Different people
like different things. While I am basically a country music artist, I
hope my music provides a little something for everybody".
He
is currently recording a new album partly in Nashville and partly in
Atlanta. “This new CD is definitely going to take things up a few
notches in terms of writing, performance, and production” he says.
The album will also feature members of Travis Tritt’s band as well
as several other local and national talents and will further solidify
his signature sound.

When
booking a MM show, Mike is adamant that…. “We
are not a cover band.
We do original music. We may sometimes mix a few select cover songs
into our shows if they fit but 90% of what we do is original”.
