JOEY GARLAND

ABOUT US

Joey began drumming at the age of five as a member of his family's road show, lead by his grandfather, Atlanta Country Hall of Fame member, Bud Mote. Along the way Joey began singing, and playing guitar, bass, keyboard and saxophone. After graduating from high school in his hometown, Douglasville, Ga. he ventured to Nashville, where he had the good fortune to experience performing with country greats, including Johnny Paycheck. He enjoyed local success as a member of a hometown group called Southern Touch, then became interested in the craft of songwriting, and joined the Nashville Songwriter Association International (NSAI), where he served as a member on the Board of Directors. Joey has several songwriting awards to his credit, and scored his first major recording on V-Tone Records. His song, "Two Old Cars" and “No Girls Allowed” co-written with Chip Martin and Tim Smith, was recorded by Glenn Kearney, “Two Old Cars” being released as the first single in May of 2003. Joey has performed with up and coming artists George Britt and Patrick Moore throughout the southeast, sharing the bill with Tracy Byrd, Rush Low, Gary Allen, Phil Vassar and Lonestar. He has also collaborated with members of Confederate Railroad in the recording studio as well as live performances. He started his own company, J&P Productions which includes artist booking and recording studio services. In 2006 Joey was elected President of the "Georgia Music Industry Association" (GMIA). He is currently bringing national recording artists to the Georgia area in order to raise money for up and coming Georgia artists. Recently performing with “Doug Stone” and “Confederate Railroad”. He plans to use all the lessons and experiences of his career to help elevate hot new local talent up to the national and international level. Joey joined forces with technical guru Pastor Paul Bailey. Bailey serves the company in other capacities not only in engineering and IT but he keeps the company in check on a spiritual level as well. Bailey found the passion in songwriting after getting involved in the ministry. With baileys technical and spiritual knowledge it is the final ingredient that makes J. & P. Productions what it is. When it comes to making something happen on a budget there is not to many things these O’ boys caint do. Garland recently played with John Berry for a stellar performance and is currently playing drums for Nashville New comer Derik Schumacher who’s debut video “In Memory Of” is topping the charts on CMT.
